So yesterday the shop foreman comes up to me and says, with my arms greasy and buried in an engine, "do you have a minute to come have a chat in the service managers office?"

Me, "umm, sure" wondering what I did wrong.

We get in there, door closed, sit down, them facing me. Service manager says, "so I've had to make the difficult decision...." Long pause for dramatic effect, "of deciding who to send to an exclusive AMG training event and track day. It had to be someone who blah blah blah boring blah blah we've picked you!"

I'm going here:

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

to drive the GT (among other things, 205 c63 included).

This event is invitation only to selected AMG stores, only two people allowed from each store. I'm so excited!!

Hmm. I don't know about best behavior. I got into a pretty good argument with the GSM only a few weeks ago because he wanted me to do something a little shady. Which my boss had to chat with me about, but you could tell he found it amusing . If by my best behavior you mean standing up for ethics and the service department, and getting into arguments with crappy managers, then hell yeah! They respect me for not rolling over like a trained puppy on his best behavior. So I'll stick with my normal behavior.

Rant over. Sorry for that. It's been a crazy couple of weeks.

Nah. I'd have to be a robot to perform any more. I'm already there 60-70 hours per week, helping sales guys with AMG stuff, and doing other things way outside of my job description because of lots of incapable people. There's another guy who stirs the proverbial pot much more than I do anyways.
